Club Board
Kingfisher Angling Club of Southern California (aka KFAC) is currently governed by a 2 member board to make decisions, handle finances and set standards for membership and fishing charters.

The current Board consists of a Charter Master and an Administrator/Treasurer. In the event any board member becomes unable to serve, the remaining board member shall appoint a replacement.

Membership Guidelines
Membership is open to anyone age 18 or older. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at any club function. To participate, an angler must be 16 years of age minimum. Excessive alcohol consumption, drug use or offensive behavior shall be grounds to revoke any membership and/or ban club participation. Membership dues are not refundable.

All members, including the board, shall not receive compensation of any kind for participating in any club function outside of reimbursement for authorized club supplies. All club or board members are volunteers only and are not reimbursed in any way for their volunteer efforts.

The KFAC board reserves the right to deny any application for membership or renewal for any reason. If any new member joins KFAC after August 31st in any calendar year, the membership fee paid will include the following year as well.

All members, including board members of Kingfisher Angling Club of Southern California are to be held harmless for any and all claims of any type including negligence, personal injury, damage, theft, or loss of property incurred while participating in any club function or sponsored activity and/or any violations pertaining to any state laws or regulations governing sport fishing.

Club Policies Regarding Trip Payments
Fishing charter fees must be paid in full no later than 30 calendar days prior to departure date. Payment can be made at a monthly meeting, check by mail, or online on the clubs website through Paypal with a debit or credit card. Cancellations within 30 days of departure are non-refundable. If a canceling angler provides a substitute angler, that substitute has to pay the angler who cancelled. The club is not responsible for transactions between anglers.

Any policy change requests regarding fishing charters must be addressed to the board at a monthly meeting and will be voted on by the board.

Jackpots
The sport fishing boats we charter typically offer a jackpot contest. Members can participate in the boats jackpot for a fee. KFAC is not responsible for the boats jackpot contest, its outcome or policies.

Amendments to Club Policies and Guidelines
These policies and guidelines shall only be amended by a majority vote of the KFAC board.
